Heerde, 1971 …

Van West’s refrigeration department was no longer solely concerned with refrigeration for ships.
There was therefore no reason to remain part of the parent company.
Van West Koeltechniek continued independently and moved immediately: from Amsterdam to Heerde in the Veluwe region.
Here, Van West Koeltechniek developed further to become the specialist in water and air cooling that it is today.
With products that you still encounter every day….

Cold glass of water

You may be wondering, ‘Where do I see you guys? I never notice any of them.’ We’re happy to answer that question, of course.
After all, we’re proud of what we do.
Do you ever drink delicious coffee from a coffee machine at work?
Then see if you can also get cold water from this machine.
Successful?
Congratulations!
Chances are you’ve discovered us.
Because many Dutch coffee machine manufacturers use Van West’s built-in coolers in their machines.
And if necessary, we make them specially customized.

The basis for your chilled drinks

And it doesn’t stop at coffee vending machines. We also make sure you can tap a nice cold glass of water in many drinking water coolers…. And what about the vending machines where you can get cans of soft drinks, a fresh salad or a sandwiches? Our coolers also keep those machines at just the right temperature. So your can of cola stays deliciously cool and your lunch fresh.

No party without Van West Refrigeration

We are now celebrating our 100th anniversary.
But actually no celebration goes by without us.
Because we have also been making coolers for beer kegs and buffets for years.
So you’ll also find us everywhere in the hospitality industry.
And there are many more places where Van West Koeltechniek plays a small role in people’s lives.
You can read more about that in our next stories.

And in the meantime, as you take another fresh sip of water, get a freshly tapped beer in front of you or pull a deliciously cool can of soda or salad from a vending machine.
Then think of us and say to yourself:

Van West is behind it.
